Our 3-Step Approach

Step 1 — We Want to Hear Your Story: We begin by listening. No two golfers with pain are alike. Each person has a unique body, a unique past, and a unique sort of pain. We hold an open chat to gain a thorough grasp of not only what’s going on with your body, but also how it’s affecting your life.

Step 2 — Determine the Root Cause: We identify the source of your pain so it not only goes away but stays away. Rest, pills, and surgery may provide temporary relief but don’t address the root cause. During the Golf Performance Assessment, you’ll discover what’s wrong and how long it will take to correct it.

Step 3 — Eliminate Pain for Good: We provide a customized plan that allows you to return to golfing without concern of recurrence, get back to your favorite courses, and return to your pre-injury routine. Our top clients are individuals determined to reclaim their active lifestyle.

Do You Struggle With Pain or an Injury When Playing Golf? Do You Want to Get Better at Swinging a Club and Playing the Game?

You’ve come to the right place if “yes” was your response to any of the aforementioned questions.

Golfers who work with us move, feel, and play better. We are experts in golf mobility.

  • Would you like to go faster and strike the ball farther with less force?
  • Do you wish to remain pain-free while playing golf?
  • Do you want to be certain that you can continue to play as you get older?

You may have heard things like:

  • Simply “relax it,” and everything will be OK (even when they are still in pain months later…)
  • It’s “normal” for someone of that age.
  • If you take certain tablets, you won’t need to worry about anything.
  • The only other choice is to give up golf.

The Fact Is That…

  • Nothing will change even if you give it some rest. You might obtain some minor relief in the short term, but once you start being active again, you’ll find that golf continues to be a source of discomfort for you.
  • It is not typical for golfers to sustain injuries as they become older.
  • Painkillers are very addictive and harmful, not to mention capable of causing a variety of other physical issues.
  • There are other choices available besides giving up golf. It is just the only alternative that can be suggested by your primary care physician.

We assist golfers in returning to the course at Omni Wellness & Performance.

Making a decision regarding what to do in the event of golf-related pain might be very difficult. You’ve probably heard about a lot of choices like…

  • A relative advises you to perform a specific stretch
  • A coworker suggests visiting a massage therapist.
  • YouTube’s “experts” advise performing a specific exercise.
  • A friend advises participating in a yoga session.
  • While the physician is advising you to rest

To try to choose from so many options is overwhelming. What would happen if you didn’t choose wisely?

Most people become paralyzed when trying to decide what to do next. They do nothing for days, weeks, months, and sometimes years.

EVALUATION OF GOLF PERFORMANCE

  • Interview with a Player and Injury Review
  • Assessment of Flexibility and Mobility
  • Tests of Strength and Coordination
  • Carry Distance Diagnostic
  • Full-Body Strength Test
  • Plan of Action to Make Things Right
  • Report of What the Doctor Found

PROGRAM FOR CUSTOMIZED PERFORMANCE

Following the interview and physical assessment, we design and implement a fitness program to improve your mobility, strength, and skill in order to improve the efficiency of your swing and keep you on the course pain-free.

IMPROVE YOUR BODY’S RESILIENCE

Improve how your body holds up during your round by treating the underlying source of your issue to keep you on the course for future seasons. Leave with the knowledge and tools to manage pain and improve performance in the long run.

At Omni Wellness & Performance, we've developed a three-step approach to eliminate your discomfort and ensure it never returns.

STEP 1 – WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR STORY

Our healthcare system is infuriating. You wait weeks, if not months, for an appointment, just to speak with the doctors for 10 minutes before they have to rush to the next patient, leaving you wondering, “What just happened?”

This is how most physical therapy clinics function. They’re not attentive, they’re quick, and your therapist doesn’t have time to touch where you hurt.

This is why we begin by listening to your story.

We know that no two people with golf discomfort are alike after working with a large number of them. Each person has a unique body, a unique past, and a unique sort of pain.

That is why, as a first step, we will hold an open chat and allow you to express your tale. That way, we can gain a thorough grasp of not only what’s going on with your body, but also how it’s affecting your life.

STEP 2 – DETERMINE WHY THE GOLF PAIN STARTED

Many folks have a medical word or diagnosis for what’s wrong with their body. Maybe it was given to them by their doctor, maybe tests revealed the condition, or maybe you found it online.

You could have been advised that your only options were to rest, take pain relievers, or consider surgery.

These things may provide temporary relief, but they do not address the root cause of the problem.

Every person’s source of suffering is unique. Nobody has the same difficulty caused by the same item as someone else.

Our objective at Omni Wellness & Performance is to identify the source of your pain so that it not only goes away, but stays away!

During the Golf Performance Assessment, you’ll discover what’s wrong, how long it will take to correct it, and gain peace of mind knowing your problem can be resolved naturally!

STEP 3 – GET RID OF THE PAIN AND KEEP IT FROM RETURNING

This is when the major transformation takes place. We provide a customized plan that allows you to…

  • Return to golfing without concern of recurrence of pain.
  • You should be able to return to your favorite courses.
  • Return to your pre-injury golfing routine.

Our top clients are individuals who are determined to reclaim their active lifestyle. (Even if they are currently stuck!)

You don’t have to give up your favorite game because of minor issues.

Sincerely,
Jose Chacon, LPTA, LMT

Frequently Asked Questions

Common presentations include low back pain from rotational loading, hip impingement and flexor tightness, golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis), lead knee strain, and wrist injuries. Many golfers have underlying mobility limitations — particularly in the thoracic spine and hips — that put repetitive stress on structures above and below, leading to cumulative injury.

PT for golf injuries addresses both the injury and the movement patterns that created it. Manual therapy, targeted strengthening, and mobility work restore function — and your clinician identifies the biomechanical contributors so you’re not just rehabbing to repeat the same injury next season.

Usually yes, with adjustments. Your PT will identify which aspects of the game stress the injury most — whether it’s driving distance, swing frequency, or specific positions — and suggest temporary modifications that keep you engaged without impeding tissue recovery.

We address injury mechanics from a movement and loading perspective — identifying how mobility restrictions or strength deficits show up in your swing. Formal swing coaching is outside our scope, but we can tell you what your body is doing biomechanically and work on the physical limitations that affect it.

Soft-tissue injuries like golfer’s elbow or hip flexor strain often respond in 4–8 sessions. Back pain with underlying mobility restrictions may require 8–12 sessions. The initial evaluation gives you a much clearer picture of your specific timeline.

OMNI’s 1-on-1 full-hour format gives your clinician time to assess your movement in depth — not just treat symptoms in a 20-minute slot. Golfers with complex presentations involving hip, spine, and shoulder interaction benefit from the kind of comprehensive evaluation that volume clinics simply don’t have time for.
