Now more than ever…we should be as proactive with our Immune System.
There are many ways to do this, they can be fun and get the entire family involved.
Some of the ways I like to keep my immune system strong is by moving every day, it doesn’t have to be SUPER intense or all-out SPRINTING.
In the past few days, we have been taking daily 1-3 miles walks with my family as well as continue to lift weights in our home gym.
Of course, the second part is to eat clean and healthy, drinking half your body weight in ounces and getting in your dark leafy greens and veggies!
Now here is the good news, inside this Immunity Boosting Smoothies & Bowls recipe book is filled with ways to blend some of those flavors. I’ve always loved to add fresh spinach to my smoothies, my kids have been drinking them for years without knowing I added spinach to them.
One aspect which is probably the least commonly known is your POSITIVITY mindset. Your cells react to and respond to your thoughts, emotions, and words. Stay positive have a healthy attitude when faced with adversity or challenges.
Doing some daily meditation and relaxation breathing techniques helps to balance out our Sympathetic and Parasympathetic systems.
When we are an inconsistent state of Sympathetic state the fight or flight response, our immune system also suffers and is more at risk. Simply because we can not stay in a sympathetic state without feeling broken down or burnout after a while.
On the other hand, the Parasympathetic state is the rest and digest response often occurs while relaxing or sleeping which is why sleep is the best form of recovery! This will help your immune system thrive and keep you healthy, so try to get at least 8 hours of good restful sleep. And put the screens away!
Next week we will be offering all of you a new schedule with some form of virtual coaching. We will have daily workouts, mobility sessions, guided relaxation breathing sessions. My wife Jennifer will also be offering a distance Reiki sessions as well.
Lastly please limit the amount of news and media you are letting into your space, while it is good to be up to date on the latest status it is not healthy to let it consume you and let fear or panic become the new normal.
Yours in health,
Jose
